Rosa Gannon

Statement

My work consists of discarded materials: skips, rubbish, plastic, paper, cotton fabric and glass. In my pieces I am representing the amount of waste that we accumulate with no thought for the consequences of our actions.
Immersive black and white screen-prints on cotton demonstrate the stark reality of our throwaway society, while laser cut forms are used with different spray paints and textures such as granite and sand to create rusted & aged materials, structures and shapes.
