Hi, my name is Alexandros O’Brien. I’m a fourth year CDM student. My main focus of interest is coding, programming and especially Arduino. My final year project revolved around working with Arduino. My group partner and I invested our time in finding a creative solution to beer glass bottle recycling benefiting all the parties in the commercial chain. Relying on the customer upon returning the glass bottles previously bought to the supermarket so they can be brought back to the brewery to be washed and reused, I developed a tracking system with an RFID reader wired to an Arduino and RFID tags on the bottles to be scanned when returned to the supermarket.
