My Name is Calum Mahon, I am passionate about film and post production/video production. During my time in Creative Digital Media, I worked on multiple short films and a documentary for my final year project called 'Feeding Cork' where I was responsible for sound design and project aesthetics.

The project was about the food culture in Cork with an emphasis on capturing real stories and interactions with people. The short documentary was filmed over the course of five months and highlighted restaurants such as Miyazaki located in the heart of the city which offers up authentic Japanese cuisine. The aim was to create a cinematic piece of media while also having real interactions that were unscripted.

For my placement, I worked in a company called Wavebreak Media in Ballincollig for their post-production team. There, my passion for film and video grew even stronger and I aspire to work in that industry.
