My name is Carly Quinlivan, and I am a motion graphics artist. My love for motion design and mythology have clashed together to make a video essay project on this very topic, exploring and explaining the shapeshifting myths of Ireland.

Celtic curiosities is a video essay about 3 shapeshifting creatures from Irish mythology. This video will be an Adobe After Effects animated project, done in the style of illuminated manuscripts and describe each creature mentioned, being the kelpie, selkie, and changeling. This story puts the creatures in the context that they are real and should be looked out for and advises you what to do if you do encounter any of the creatures.
