Statement
Through the loss of three grandparents over the last few years, my practice has been an outlet to navigate through my grief. I used to fear death but have learned that it can be a beautiful and powerful experience. The impermanence of life is something to be celebrated and remembered by loved ones. Through constructed textiles combined with found objects, sound, and photography I create temporary installations. Long textile tendrils stretch across the floor, representing the body with viscera and limb-like structures unraveling, symbolising the fragility of existence. With each of my grandparent’s passings, I have created a piece of artwork to memorialise their lives.
