Statement

“A single thought can change everything… but what if it wasn’t wanted?” ‘When The Thought Arrived’ is an illustrated book that explores the internal experience of living with the often-unspoken aspects of OCD, particularly intrusive thoughts. Through metaphor and visual storytelling, the project aims to make these internal struggles visible and understandable. The work highlights the importance of communication and connection, challenging the isolation that can come with these experiences. It asks the viewer to consider a central question: what defines a person: their thoughts, or their actions?
