Statement

Hi, my name is Hannah. For my final year project, I created Trace(s) — a design archive exploring the emotional residue left behind in found objects. These everyday items, once personal and meaningful to someone, now donated or forgotten, carry subtle marks of use: wear, tarnish, fading, and small fractures. Through close observation, imaginative storytelling, and visualisation, I explore how these traces hint at memory, human connection, and the quiet ways we leave pieces of ourselves behind. The project is realised through a series of conceptual zines — each centred on a different object — and a museum style display preserving the originals. Together, the zine series and display form an archive of imagined memory.
