I'm Naomi, a Canadian storyteller, animator, and illustrator. In my work, I tend to focus on themes of self-discovery and control over one’s life. I also love classical animation, fine art, and dance, and try to incorporate such imagery into my art. My student animated film “Voice of Fire” is no exception. The story follows Belle, an ex-dancer forced into early retirement, being taken to an art gallery to renew her passion by her best friend, Beau. Belle will have to face herself when she is forced to think about a seemingly meaningless painting called the “Voice of Fire”.
