Hi I’m Sarah! My project focuses in on the cultural impact of the ‘Irish Pub’ on us as a nation, with reference to some particular favourite haunts of Cork City. This idea came to light in a time when our most beloved institution was, for the first time since prohibition, shut away from us. I wanted to highlight the positive aspects of pub-going and evoke a sense of nostalgia as you read the different accounts associated with each pub mentioned. I use photography with image making techniques and typography to accomplish this.
