Statement

My work delves into the many facets that reflect the complexities of existing within the female form. I aim to convey the detailed biological processes that unfold within the female body, with a particular focus on paying homage to the life of the uterus.

I intertwine the delicate inner workings of a woman, with intricate aspects of various plants and herbs, that have long been associated with women throughout history. Often regarded as a symbol of femininity, as well as serving as powerful tools for natural healing and reproductive health, with many of these associations deeply rooted in folklore and historical midwifery traditions.

The surfaces and liquid mediums I work with are integral to my process, as I often experiment with different levels of absorbency, which serve as a reference to female menstrual products.
