My name is Carmel Horgan and I have completed the Creative Digital Media course at MTU. The Final Year project that I have produced combines my interests in eLearning, Graphic Design, User Experience Design and Animation. The project is a format that uses Augmented Reality as a tool to complete a jigsaw puzzle in a way that is educational for children. The jigsaw puzzle pieces act as image targets that when scanned play an animation and audio through AR that hints at the piece’s correct match. I have used matching animals to their correct ecosystems for this project but the format can be used with many different topics.
