My current practice is inspired by the Irish Landscape, focusing on the rivers of Ireland, many of which I have explored by canoe with a group of fellow enthusiasts. The mediums I use in my work are acrylics which are painted on wooden panels. The primary source for work is from photographs I have taken myself while exploring rivers by canoe. I am also exploring the works of some contemporary artists such as Lucas Arruda, Peter Doig. Overall, my work aims to be atmospheric with a hint of the unknown.
