My work explores the individual genetic patterns that can be seen in human body parts with the support of biometric technology. Scanning parts of the body became an essential part of the 21st century to unlock the personal phone, log in to work, or get access to authorized areas. Everyone has a unique code that cannot be replaced or copied, which has become an individual's key in modern technology. Using metal sculptures of the eye iris and a video of a close-up of an eye, I want to bring attention to these microscopic patterns. The work also revolves around identity and creates an opportunity to compare the abstract fundamental human form.
