Statement

This work explores trauma, masking and the ways identity can be shaped through adaptation, concealment and survival. By working with cyanotypes, layering and repetition, this work reflects on what it means to navigate spaces where visibility and belonging often feel uncertain. Cyanotype is a slow and unpredictable process shaped by imperfection, repetition and time. This process became central to the work. Moments of frustration and stillness became part of the process, allowing space for reflection and consideration. Layers within the work obscure and reveal, holding traces of what has been altered, hidden and carried forward. This body of work remains intentionally open rather than presenting a fixed narrative. It leaves space for interpretation, connection and recognition. What is hidden and what is visible exist side by side, reflecting on the complexity of memory, perception and becoming.
