Celine Harmon

Statement

My name is Celine Harmon, and I created this book with the aim of subtly teaching children aged eight to ten concentration skills and patience. To achieve this goal, there are twenty-one activities within the book that require focus, intended to be completed once daily before bed. The book follows a storyline of helping an adventurer and his friends "catch the moon" by completing these activities.

I was inspired to create this book after researching the challenges facing Generation Alpha. A recurring finding was that many young children struggle in school settings to complete tasks that require focus and patience, such as reading. I wanted to tackle this issue by framing activities that demand concentration as something fun and rewarding.
