My project looks at portrait photography and explores seasonal affective disorder (SAD), also known as seasonal depression. The project explores this issue from my own personal perspective with reference to research into the condition. It explores how emotions are linked to certain weather conditions, reflecting on how we feel during these conditions. The images visualise the emotional shift that happens as the seasons change. The project also looks at themes of isolation and the need for social connections, fresh air and light. My aim is to help give visibility to people suffering from this or similar conditions.
