Statement
Hi, my name is Romina and I’m Uruguayan living in Cork, Ireland. My background is in Social Communication and Advertising, however in recent years my interest in technology led me to embark on a new stage of learning, where I acquired knowledge in IT support, Web Programming and User Experience (UX). I’ve always evaluated my own experiences as a user with products and services before even knowing what UX was, so my passion for this discipline has been present since I can remember and recently expanded upon completing the MSc in UX & SD.
Project Overview: This projects focus was to explore how technology can foster trust and emotional reassurance in online settings, specifically targeting dog owners looking to build a community, find alike people and potential future relationships to provide care for their dogs. Existing solutions tackle practical aspects of pet care, so in this project a digital matching system was developed where both dog owners and dog lovers can match and connect, fostering trust and affinity among its users. This involved user research, data analysis and an iterative design phase, finalizing with the development of a digital application that enhances dog owners lives in a digital setting.
