Hello, my name is Daniel Heaphy. I am a final year student of Creative Digital Media here at MTU. My core area of interest lies in video production, where I have come to find great enthusiasm in all areas of the process, from pre-production, production to post-production. I have been short-listed for a SMEDIA Award for Best Documentary Film and my work has been screened in three different Film Festivals in Ireland and the UK, including Cork’s very own IndieCork.
My final year multimedia project was titled “Story-Box” and utilises video projection mapping onto a cube shape, to illustrate the notion that there are multiple sides to a story. Each side of the cube deals with the same theme or situation but depicting it in a unique and alternative way. The project was inspired by film-art, notably artists like Steve McQueen.
