Statement

I use my art practise to interact with the world around me, and to explore a sense of place - the connections developed between people and places. I have accomplished this by utilising materials gathered from nature. These natural materials represent my understanding of the ‘symbioscene’, the future of humanity and nature.

The main theme of my work is hedgerows. Natural materials gathered from my garden or the walks I are used within my chosen processes of eco-printed textiles and saggar fired ceramics. The visual language for my work was inspired by the variety of life found within hedgerows.
