I'm Thia and my work focuses on illustration and visual storytelling, often exploring themes of movement and memory. Irish dancing is often overlooked or misunderstood because of the pageant-like qualities associated with wigs, makeup, and embellished costumes, but through my work I wanted to show the passion I feel within Irish dance and the sense of performance, art, and community that surrounds it.

Inspired by Irish dance culture and the atmosphere surrounding feiseanna, I use stylised illustration, mapping, and information design to reinterpret the journey of competition days in an immersive and expressive way.
