Úna Ní Chaoimh
Statement
In wintertime at the Gearagh, water is drained away revealing the lake floor: it becomes a disorienting place. Human people can walk on the lake floor; soil, water, air are perceptibly animate. Through drawing, movement and moving image I explore these embodied presences, our webs of relationship and sometimes of dissociation.
I allow these animacies to set my body in movement; imitating bird hearing, time becomes a hybrid of human and other temporalities; ink follows a composite of sensibilities present in this place. In this embodied exchange, perhaps we are all curious about one another.
