Statement

My focus is the surface textures and atmosphere of Blackrock Castle in Cork.
I have made many trips there exploring it through sketching and drawing. My variety of rubbings and imprints of the structure of the wall surrounding the castle have also helped me to better understand the depth within the wall surface. I use drawing and both digital and hand stitch as forms of mark-making to create my art. I also layer paper and fabric to create texture.
I am also passionate about colour and how it can completely change the way you see things.
